Text Box: Georgia O’Keeffe - In The West, edited by Doris Bry and Nicholas Callaway, hardcover, oversized, oblong: 14 in. x 16 in., weight 5 lbs., Alfred A. Knopf, 1989, stated first edition. According to the publisher, this book is a presentation of O’Keefe’s best art during her western period. Included are paintings both celebrated and previously unpublished. The highest quality standards have been observed with the 98 color plates which printed in 4 and 5 color offset lithography by Nissha Printing Company of Kyoto, Japan, among the world’s foremost color printers. The separations are engraved from newly commissioned transparencies which have been color-corrected by comparison with the original works of art, whenever possible. The jacket is printed in seven colors with matte lamination; the full cloth binding is smyth-sewn in signatures.  Brief explanatory text also present, chronicling O'Keeffe's motivations and inspirations for her work. Front jacket panel is a full color image of the work Ram's Head. Condition: very good plus/very good plus; one page has separated or has been separated from the binding, but binding is good. Small (2 in. x 2 in.) water stain on outside bottom of back board. Davidson, hardcover, 12 x 9 inches, John Howell Books, San Francisco, 1971. This book is firstly intended to be a catalogue of the etchings of Edward Borein, and secondly a picture book of the Western art. Included are 34 unpublished plates, no known editions of which were made during Borein's lifetime. Condition: near fine/ no dust jacket, an inscription on the second fly page, otherwise no markings, no soiling, no torn pages.  Price: $50.00
Text Box: Tom Lea: An Oral History edited by Rebecca Craver and Adair Margo, hardcover, Texas Western Press, ISBN 0874042348, 1995, 185 pages with index. Tom Lea, internationally known artist and author, in early 1994 recorded a series of interviews with Adair Margo for the University of Texas at El Paso's Institute of Oral History. In the spring, a retrospective exhibition on his art work was held at the El Paso Museum of Art, UTEP's Centennial Museum, and the Adair Margo Gallery. This book, developed from the interviews and illustrated by exhibition pieces and photos from Lea's personal collection, serves as Lea's autobiography. This book is the first extensive autobiography with the retrospective exhibition pieces spanning his career.
